Visibility matters. Highlighting the diversity of their staff has always been a priority for Booz Allen Hamilton. Thanks to their long partnership with the Human Rights Campaign, Booz Allen was offered an ad spot in the HRC’s 2016 Pride Publication. Working with GLOBE, the LGBT employee-led organization at Booz Allen Hamilton, I created an ad that spoke to the visibility of BIPOC and queer engineers who called Booz Allen home.

Cusp was an internal publication for Booz Allen Hamilton meant to house the stories of Booz Allen’s people and their excellence. As Managing Editor of Cusp, I led a team of writers to create engaging content for a readership of over twenty-five thousand. I also worked one-on-one with Cusp’s designers to ensure that the look and feel of the magazine reflect the stories told and Booz Allen’s overall visual identity. Under my leadership, Cusp was awarded the Hermes Creative Gold Award for excellence in internal publishing.

As an Arts and Culture Contributor for Metro Weekly, I attended and wrote about events happening in and around the DC Metro region. In this role, I honed my interview skills and developed a journalistic tenacity which I still bring to my clients. Throughout my tenure at Metro Weekly, I wrote several features on prominent figures in the LGBT Community such as singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright, pop icon Chaka Khan, and acclaimed playwright Jennifer Hoppe-House.
